What fuels are used to generate my electricity?

The energy provided by Angelic Energy is supplied by our partner, Robin Hood Energy.

Their focus is on serving their customers rather than generating their own power. Instead, Robin Hood Energy buy from the energy market, and from generators themselves, across the UK.  100% of the electricity provided by Robin Hood Energy to Angelic customers is from UK-based solar and wind generators.

All suppliers, including Robin Hood Energy, are required by the energy market regulator Ofgem to provide information about the mix of fuels used to generate the electricity supplied to customers, as well as any environmental impact.

Known as the Fuel Mix Disclosure, our partner, Robin Hood Energy, must publish this information annually after they have been a supplier for 12 months. The Fuel Mix Disclosure below is for the period 1 April 2018 to 31 March 2019.

Our fuel figures are retrospective from April 2018 to March 2019. Our figures reflect that time period, meaning there was a three-month lapse before we launched our 100% green electricity tariffs * in July 2018.

*Our green electricity tariffs are certified as being sourced from UK based wind and solar generators. For every megawatt hour (MWh) of electricity purchased for our customers, we also purchase a Renewable Energy Guarantee of Origin (REGO) certificate, which proves the electricity is certified as being sourced either directly from the renewable generators or through a green wholesale energy provider.
