Islington is home to Angelic Energy. It’s a highly desirable place to live, work and visit. We have a rich cultural scene, with a range of well-known restaurants, theatres and concert venues, a thriving economy and we’re home to big businesses and global brands such as Arsenal FC.
We have an unmistakably cosmopolitan air, with more than 100 languages spoken here. Our truly diverse local population gives Islington a wide-ranging – and, yet, at the same time, very recognisable – cultural identity.
But despite Islington’s image as a wealthy and vibrant borough, it is also the twenty fourth most deprived local authority area in England and has one of the biggest gaps between the wealthiest and the poorest. To tackle this, the council has committed itself to reducing inequality and shaping a fairer Islington where everyone has the same opportunity to fulfil their potential and enjoy a good quality of life.
As a council one of our key priorities is to tackle fuel poverty and reduce energy bills. Through innovative schemes, such as the SHINE programme, which ensures that vulnerable residents can afford to heat their homes, and projects like Bunhill Heat and Power Network, which will use heat from the Tube to warm local homes, we are helping to reduce energy bills and cut carbon emissions across the borough.
With these goals and experiences it is easy to see why Angelic Energy was set-up by Islington Council. We know people are struggling to pay their energy bills and by offering them a fairer alternative to the big six energy companies we believe we can make a real difference to the amount people are paying for their gas and electricity.
Angelic Energy is not-for-profit and aims to supply energy as cheaply as possible to Londoners. It offers simple and straight forward pricing and no nonsense, supportive customer service. We offer great deals because this is the reason we were created.
